Forza Horizon 6 is expected to feature the following collectible types, continuing the series tradition:

|---|---|---|
| Bonus Boards | Credits, XP, or Fast Travel discounts | ~200 |
| XP Signs | Instant Influence (XP) | ~50 |
| Barn Finds | Rare/classic cars found in barns | ~15 |
| Road Discovery | XP for driving on every road | 100% completion |
| Photography Spots | Photo challenge locations | ~30 |
| Adventure Maps | Treasure map-style collectibles | ~10 |
Bonus Boards
Bonus Boards are the main collectible in Forza Horizon. Smashing them gives various rewards.
Types of Bonus Boards
| Board Color | Reward | Priority |
|---|---|---|
| Gold | 1,000 - 5,000 Credits | High |
| Blue | Influence (XP) | Medium |
| Green | Fast Travel discount | Highest |
| Purple | Wheelspin | Very High |
Strategy
- Prioritize green Fast Travel boards first — smashing enough reduces fast travel to free
- Use a fast car — something like the Hoonigan RS200 (if returning) is classic board-hunting meta
- Use the drone or photo mode for spotting hard-to-reach boards
- Check behind buildings — many boards are hidden in plain sight
Where to Look
- On top of buildings — especially in Tokyo and Osaka
- Hidden behind billboards — look for gaps
- Along highway barriers — easy to smash at speed
- In off-road areas — some require a detour from paved roads
- On ramps/jumps — you'll need air to reach them
XP Signs
These large purple signs grant a big chunk of Influence when smashed. They're usually placed to require a specific approach:
- Speed required — many need a running start
- Jump trajectory — approach at an angle for maximum air
- Off-road shortcuts — some require leaving the road
Pro Tips for XP Signs
- Use the fastest car you have for each class
- Look for run-up distance — don't try to hit them from a standstill
- Rewind if you miss — try a different angle
- Mark them on your map and come back with a better vehicle
Barn Finds
Barn Finds are hidden classic/rare cars scattered across the map. Here's how they work:
How Barn Finds Work
- Rumor appears — you'll get a Barn Find rumor notification while driving
- Search zone marked — a yellow circle appears on the map
- Find the barn — drive into the circle and look for the barn structure
- Restoration time — the car is delivered to your garage after a few minutes of playtime
- Collect for free — no credit cost, barn finds are always free
Expected Barn Finds (Speculative)
Based on the Japan setting, these could be likely Barn Find candidates:
| Car | Likelihood | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Nissan 240ZG (Fairlady) | Very High | Japanese classic icon |
| Toyota 2000GT | Very High | Legendary Japanese sports car |
| Mazda Cosmo Sport | High | First rotary-powered car |
| Datsun 510 | High | Classic Japanese rally car |
| Isuzu 117 Coupé | Medium | Rare Japanese grand tourer |
| Subaru 360 | Medium | Iconic kei car |
Adventure Maps
These treasure-map style collectibles (purchasable from the Festival shop) reveal locations of special boards and hidden caches. They're worth the investment if you're going for 100% completion.
Completion Rewards
Forza Horizon games typically reward completionists with:
- Achievements/Trophies — for finding all boards, signs, and barn finds
- Forza Edition cars — exclusive vehicles for high completion percentages
- In-game badges — profile customization items
- Credits — cumulative rewards from boards add up significantly
